Wisconsin News Anchor Declared Dead

News Anchor Passes Tragically – Community Speaks Out

(RepublicanPress.org) – On August 29, Kaitlynn Pacholke told the Tampa Bay Times her little sister, Wisconsin TV anchor Neena Pacholke, committed suicide just two days earlier at the age of 27. Police found the woman dead when they arrived at her home in Wausau for a “welfare check.” Authorities said Pacholke made statements leading them to believe she might take her own life, prompting the visit.

After the announcement, Pacholke’s former basketball team at the University of South Florida and News 9 WAOW spoke out about her death, relaying their devastation for the loss of such a bright light on the world.

The news anchor started her journey reporting for WAOW in 2017, quickly making her way up the ranks to become a staple on the channel’s weekend morning show. Her team at the station described her as a “kind person with a big heart,” saying she will be missed. Many of her colleagues also spoke out, sharing memories and relaying their sadness over a life cut too short.

Neena Pacholke wrote on her own website about how much she enjoyed going to work and joining Wisconsin viewers in their living rooms for her morning news segment. She said it was a “privilege.”

Although on the outside, the former basketball player appeared to be a “little ball of sunshine,” her surviving sister told the public nobody really knows another person’s internal struggles, no matter the closeness of their relationship. Kaitlynn Pacholke said her “heart is shattered.”

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities do not suspect any foul play.
