US Actress Has Died at 64

(RepublicanPress.org) – Born in Gladewater, Texas, in 1959, actress Robyn Bernard started her performance career singing gospel songs before appearing on film in “Diva” and on TV as a guest on “The Facts of Life,” “Whiz Kids,” and “Simon & Simon.” Perhaps she’s best known for her role as Terry Brock on “General Hospital,” the longest-running soap opera on television. Sadly, a recent discovery in California left soap fans around the globe in mourning for one of Port Charles’ classic favorites.

On March 13, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release stating Ms. Bernard was found dead in an open field behind a business in San Jacinto. The 64-year-old’s time of death was listed as about four in the morning but didn’t reveal the cause or how she was found. Police are currently investigating, but Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez said they do not suspect “foul play.” The actress’s autopsy is also reportedly underway but could take several weeks to complete, especially if they run a toxicology screening.

Bernard’s death comes after multiple other General Hospital stars lost their lives in the last year. Jacklyn Zeman, who played Bobbie Spencer, died in May of 2023 at the age of 70; Tyler Christopher, who portrayed Nikolas Cassadine, died in October of that same year at the age of 50, and David Gail, known for his role as Dr. Joe Scanlon on the spinoff series, Port Charles, passed away in January.

Mourners now lament over her career as an actress as the world awaits her cause of death. Her role as Terry Brock spanned over 145 episodes from 1984 to 1990, leaving a mark on her adoring fans. After leaving acting in 2002 following her role in “Voices from the High School,” she reportedly lived a quiet life away from the spotlight. The actress is survived by her father, Jerry Wayne Bernard, and her two sisters, Crystal and Scarlett. They have yet to release a statement regarding their loss.
