(RepublicanPress.org) – In November 2020, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump faced off in the general election to decide who would lead the country. While Biden came out victorious, the road following the election was not easy. According to The Associated Press, the public at large doesn’t want either candidate to lead the country starting in 2025. Still, it appears November 2024 will repeat the choices from four years ago.
On March 12, Time reported that Biden and Trump secured enough delegates to serve as their respective party nominees and appear on the general election ticket this fall. On the president’s side, there are questions about his age and ability to continue leading the country halfway into his 80s.

There is also a swath of voters unhappy about Biden’s response to the Israel-Hamas war and others who admonish him for immigration and inflation. As for Trump, Americans are concerned about his wide array of pending criminal trials that could make him a felon by November or put him behind bars for decades.
When celebrating securing the nomination, Biden said in a statement he was “honored” to be chosen to lead the Democratic Party and the country again for another four years. The president also pointed out the dangers of another Trump presidency, stating that his “campaign of resentment, revenge, and retribution” threatened the fabric of America.
Trump also responded to clinching the nomination in a video, stating while it was a “great” “victory,” the proper time to celebrate is after the November election. The former president called Biden the “worst president in the history” of the US and said his campaign has to “get back to work.”
The latest polling averages show Trump leading Biden by a narrow margin. For instance, RealClearPolitics shows him ahead by 2.1 points. Likewise, FiveThirtyEight had Trump leading by one to 11 points in March in the majority of surveys.
