(RepublicanPress.org) – The American Conservative Union held their annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) from February 25 to 28. Launched in 1974, the gathering brings together conservative elected officials, activists, and organizations making it one of the year’s largest gatherings of conservative voices. This year’s conference was full of hope.
Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) gave an uplifting speech on Saturday, February 27. As he explained, the Biden administration would rush headlong to the left, providing a harsh contrast to the last four years under Donald Trump’s leadership.
He talked about how this stark difference and accompanying tough times under Joe Biden will give Republicans huge wins in the 2022 midterms and the 2024 general election.

That contrast is necessary to get “We the People” talking again, Owens explained. It won’t matter whether people are Republican or Democrat, he stated. If you are unemployed, “you’re not happy.” If schools remain closed, “you’re not happy.” If you’re sitting there waiting for a vaccine while immigrants receive one at the border — “you’re not happy.”
He concluded his remarks by telling the audience, “no one can defeat us” if the people come together. Let’s hope those words ring true for the GOP in future elections.
