Survivors Shocked After Horrific Plane Crash

( – The odds of falling victim to a plane crash are minuscule. However, the chances of surviving one are incredibly slim. In a rare twist of fate, a group of baseball fans lived to tell the tale when their plane crashed on the way to an important game.

On Tuesday, October 19, a McDonnell Douglas MD-87 jet crashed outside a Houston, Texas, airport. The passengers were headed to Boston to watch the Astros play in the upcoming fourth game of the American League Championship Series. The pilots reportedly overran the runway during takeoff. Moments later, as pilots attempted to exit the airfield, the jet burst into flames.

Miraculously, all 21 people on board the plane survived, including 18 passengers and 3 crew members. Initial reports indicated that medical personnel transported one person to a nearby medical facility with minor injuries. However, some later reports claimed two people sustained minor injuries.

One of the flight’s passengers, Cheryl McCaskill, told reporters she felt “shaky and shocked” over the crash as she worked her way down the jet’s inflatable emergency ramp to safety. Everyone was yelling, “Get out! Get out!” she recounted, adding that she lost her shoes in the ensuing chaos.

Investigators from several state and federal agencies quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation, including the Texas Division of Emergency Management, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Transportation Safety Board.
