Robert De Niro Hurls Trump Abuse Outside Courthouse

(RepublicanPress.org) – Former President Donald Trump has been in a courtroom in Manhattan for weeks to stand trial for dozens of felony charges for allegedly falsifying business records. During that time, the media has been outside the courthouse reporting on every moment. While President Joe Biden’s campaign stayed out of the fray, that recently ended when the team brought in a few supporters to speak to the reporters camped out in Manhattan.

On May 28, the Biden-Harris campaign held a press conference outside the courthouse featuring award-winning actor Robert De Niro, former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, and DC Metropolitan Police Department Officer Michael Fanone. Native New Yorker De Niro had some strong words for Trump, declaring that he didn’t belong in The Big Apple. He also said “New Yorkers used to tolerate him” back when Trump was a “grubby real estate hustler masquerading as a big shot,” but no more.

The actor warned that the former president was a “danger” to the state, the country, and the world. De Niro insisted that a “vote for Joe Biden” is the “only way to preserve our freedoms” and “humanity.”

De Niro’s words were met with pushback from protestors in the area. Some shouted at the actor, saying he was “washed up,” while others said he was “trash.” The actor directly addressed the Trump supporters, calling them “gangsters.” As he left the area and faced anger from protestors, he declared that Democrats would not be intimidated by “screaming and yelling,” adding, “We are going to fight back.”

After the event, two of Trump’s sons and his daughter-in-law, Republican National Committee Co-Chair Lara Trump, also held a press conference outside the courtroom. Donald Trump Jr. said De Niro did it because he “needs attention,” while Lara took the opportunity to fundraise. She stated if the Biden campaign can do it, so can the Trump campaign.
