Rep. Faces Backlash for Anti-Police Comments

( – Minnesota faces another dark period of racial unrest in the wake of the recent shooting death of Daunte Wright, a black man, by the police. On April 20, Barely 10 miles away, a jury turned in a guilty verdict against Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd last year. Making matters worse, “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) decided to stir things up.

She went on an anti-police bender last week, claiming that Wright’s death wasn’t an accident. Of course, she offered no evidence to back up this claim. She also called for an end to police and prisons, stating they “can’t be reformed.”

Detroit police chief James Craig spoke out against Tlaib during an April 18 interview. He called her behavior “reckless” and said he would love to see her resign. There’s no way his job would survive if he made comments like hers, he continued.

Getting to the heart of the matter, he added that when Tlaib talks about “abolishing” the police, she’s speaking out against the very people she represents.

“Is she representing the people or… a fringe group?” he concluded. Patriots would love to know her response.
