(RepublicanPress.org) – The Constitution may not be worth much to the Democrats and RINOs these days, but its value is setting records for others. At least one investor thinks it’s worth millions, buying it for a record-setting $43.2 million during a Sotheby’s auction. The buy wasn’t without competition, either, as the anonymous investor outbid 17,000 crypto investors.
A rare first printing of the U.S. Constitution has sold at Sotheby’s in New York for $43.2 million, a record price for a document or book sold at auction. The buyer will loan it to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. https://t.co/zSiGCLI2PT

This particular copy of the Constitution is one of 13 other original copies, only two of which are now owned by individuals. And while the anonymous winner won the bid, it wasn’t for personal use. The winner will not hold the copy, but instead have it on display at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, located in Arkansas.
The only other document or book that comes close to the amount of this sale was Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex Leicester. That item sold for a little over $30 million to Bill Gates. Because the investor is anonymous, it’s impossible to ask any questions concerning why one person would bid so high or what their long-term plan is for it. However, it IS nice to see that at least some people still place a high value on the document that is the very foundation the United States was built on but is heavily trampled on today.
