NBC DROPS Ronna McDaniel Days After Being Hired After Woke Whining

(RepublicanPress.org) – Former Republican National Committee (RNC) chair Ronna McDaniel left her position shortly after Super Tuesday. Her departure followed criticisms of her performance as the head of the committee. Recently, NBC offered McDaniel a position as a paid contributor, sparking outrage from several big-name personalities on MSNBC. That offer didn’t last long.

On March 26, NBCUniversal Group chairman Cesar Conde reportedly sent an email to his staff stating he decided not to bring McDaniel onboard after all. He recognized that the last few days had been “difficult for the News Group,” and he’d listened to the staff’s “legitimate concerns” about hiring the former RNC chair. Conde apologized for the misstep, taking “full responsibility” for the initial decision, and withdrew the offer to McDaniel.

Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, Jen Psaki, Chuck Todd, Joy Reid, Lawrence O’Donnell, and Joe Scarborough all expressed concern about hiring McDaniel. Todd, the network’s chief political analyst, said McDaniel had “credibility issues.” Wallace, a former White House communications director, said adding McDaniel would only embolden and reward “election deniers.” Even an NBC union chimed in to oppose the previous hiring choice, stating the network was only “elevating a liar” and would only hurt journalism.

Maddow, a popular MSNBC host, said the decision to bring the former RNC chair onboard was “inexplicable.” She described McDaniel as a person “who is part of an ongoing project to get rid of our system of government.” Maddow urged NBC News to rethink its decision — which it did in short order. After management pulled the offer, the host commended them, stating that executives heard their various pleas and “adjusted course.”

While McDaniel hasn’t made any public announcements following the termination of her NBC deal, Puck News’ Dylan Byers stated she was “seeking legal representation.”

Do you think dismissing someone following intense backlash from current employees will become a trend?
