Josh Hawley Defends Concerns Over Election Integrity

( – Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) received a crash course in cancel culture in the wake of his decision to challenge the Electoral College results on January 6. Seven Democratic senators lodged ethics complaints against him, hoping to toss him from office. The infamous Lincoln Project set its sights on him, posting a series of overly inflammatory videos.

Hawley pushed back against those efforts during an interview with Fox News host Mark Levin on January 31. Levin began the interview by discussing the fact that “squad” members Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and others get a pass to say anything they want. At the same time, Hawley stands accused of committing sedition for fulfilling his constitutionally mandated duties.

Hawley responded that he felt Leftists were attempting to mislead Americans about his intentions as part of a power grab. “They want to silence dissent,” he explained, adding that he wasn’t about to back down to a “liberal mob.”

The nation needs election reforms, Hawley continued. Congress needs to ban ballot harvesting and address legitimate questions surrounding mail-in voting procedures and practices.
