(RepublicanPress.org) – There’s a war happening within the GOP in the wake of the highly-disputed 2020 presidential election and Democratic-led efforts to impeach former President Donald Trump earlier this year. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is on one side of the conflict. Trump and the remainder of the Republican Party are on the other side, with Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) off somewhere in his own corner.
The president’s recent comment on this situation has many heads turning.
Republicans have had enough of Cheney’s misdeeds and, reportedly, there is serious discussion about removing her from her position as head of the House Republican Caucus. Cheney vows to continue her self-destructive ways, leading Republicans like House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) have said they are tired of her shenanigans.
On May 5, a reporter cornered President Joe Biden exiting a Mexican food restaurant and asked him what he thought about the efforts to remove Cheney from her leadership position. He replied that he didn’t “understand the Republicans.”
Q: "What did you get?"
President Biden: "Tacos and some enchiladas."

Asked to clarify his comment at a press briefing later that day, he said that Republicans were “further away” from figuring out who they are and what “they stand for” than he had expected at this point.
There’s nothing quite like a Democrat who campaigns on a promise to unite Washington doing his best to meddle in the other party’s internal affairs.
