(RepublicanPress.org) – For quite some time, House Republicans have been trying to compel Hunter Biden to testify behind closed doors. Initially, he refused, stating he didn’t trust GOP legislators in the Lower Chamber to be truthful about his testimony. Instead, Hunter Biden wanted to answer questions in front of America so nobody could twist his words. After much controversy, he ultimately complied with the House’s demand.
On February 28, ABC News reported that Biden testified behind closed doors. He blasted the impeachment inquiry against his father, President Joe Biden (D), calling it a “political charade.” The younger Biden insisted the president was “never” involved in his business affairs. The testimony lasted six long hours.
After the meeting, Representative James Comer (R-KY) said he intends to move forward with the inquiry. He said there were differences between Hunter Biden’s testimony and those of previous witnesses that the committee needs to look into.

Democratic lawmakers left the meeting more insistent than ever that the US leader committed no impeachable offense. Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) indicated the investigation was more than over, and Representative Dan Goldman (D-NY) told reporters that Hunter Biden’s testimony was the “nail in the coffin” for the impeachment effort.
According to reports, there were no explosive revelations in the president’s son’s testimony. He answered every question and didn’t once use his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination. When asked why he put his father on speakerphone while his business associates were around, Biden said he always answers the phone when his dad calls. And he had his father say a quick hello to his friends. He said it was “nothing nefarious, literally.”
Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said the first son’s “testimony debunked and demolished” claims alleged against the president being used for his impeachment inquiry.
However, Comer said while appearing on Fox News’ “Hannity” that the deposition was a success. He said the “transcript shows that Hunter Biden wasn’t truthful,” adding that Hunter “admitted” his father received $40,000 from China. According to him, a number of talking points in the probe were “proven” by the testimony.
