(RepublicanPress.org) – FBI Director Christopher Wray and Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe preempted regular television and cable news services on October 21. They addressed recent revelations regarding interference by malicious foreign actors in the upcoming national elections.
Directors Wray and Ratcliffe advised the American people that the FBI and other intelligence agencies identified “malicious” activity by Iran and Russia intended to sway public opinion regarding the November elections. Of particular note are efforts on the part of Iran to harm President Donald Trump’s reelection efforts. The FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) released an action report addressing those state-sponsored threats to the election via election-related systems.
The #FBI and @CISAgov warn that Iranian advanced persistent threat actors are likely intent on influencing and interfering with the U.S. elections to sow discord among voters and undermine public confidence in the U.S. electoral process. https://t.co/YE6G6Fq0Y6 pic.twitter.com/K2gpfncFeM

Director Ratcliffe confirmed both countries obtained voter registration records for the alleged purpose of distributing false data to voters in hopes of creating confusion and chaos to undermine faith in “American democracy.”
Both Ratcliffe and Wray assured American voters the upcoming November elections “are the safest and most secure” in American history. As Wray concluded, America’s election infrastructure “remains resilient,” and every “should be confident” that their vote will count. The FBI remains vigilant and will not let their guard down.
