(RepublicanPress.org) – Political debate and legal challenges continue to surround the 2020 presidential election. Likewise, questions remain regarding allegations that leading Democrats and liberal operatives tried to influence and disrupt the 2016 election, too. Former President Donald Trump recently took legal action as a result.
On Thursday, March 24, Trump’s legal team filed a lawsuit against Clinton and others for allegedly attempting to rig the 2016 election by falsely accusing his campaign of working with Russian officials.
Donald Trump’s lawyers filed the 108-page lawsuit in the US District Court for Southern Florida. It alleges almost 30 defendants and 10 John Does “maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that… Trump was colluding with [Russia]” to influence the outcome of the 2016 election.

According to Trump’s pleading, the defendants falsified information, deceived law enforcement officials, and exploited access to confidential information “in furtherance of their scheme.”
The lawsuit characterized those efforts as “an unthinkable plot.. that shocks the conscience” and served as an assault on American democracy. The pleading also noted the defendants’ actions were so “outrageous, subversive, and incendiary that even the events of Watergate pale in comparison.”
The 16-count lawsuit asks for a jury trial and various remedies, including punitive and compensatory damages, reimbursement for costs, and any other relief the court deems necessary.
Do you think Trump should win this lawsuit?
